The Answer is Yes.....

The question, asked by Crystal was "Does she ever cry?". Oh my..... yes, she does, believe me. I just choose not to capture many of those moments. Here's proof:

Just starting to get upset.

And here come the tears.

And not moments before, she was happy as can be.

She has a hot, hot, hot temper, let me tell you. She has really taken to SCREAMING and SHRIEKING at the top of her lungs lately. She does it when she's mad(if I take something away), frustrated, who knows what. I honestly am popping more ibuprofen than I should but some days I think my head is going to explode. I am doing my best to ignore her when she does it as I have heard that's the best thing. But, I can't lie and say I haven't given her a stern admonition more than once. It's especially fun when she does it and we are out in public. I find you get two kinds of looks: 1) From parents who have been there, done that and feel for you and 2) From people who either don't have kids, have them but it's been too long to remember those days or somehow they had the only angelic kid that never had a hissy in public.

This is the life, isn't it????

Splish Splash

Yesterday, Gabriella and I went to one of the Disney World resorts to meet Sarah and Mark at the end of their Disney vacation. We did a little swimming in the pool and as always Gabriella just loved it! She really has no fear, which is both good and bad. She will jump right off the step with no regard. Water in the nose? Cough, cough. Can we do it again??????

And here are a few more from this week.

Will the drool never end?????? She has at least 4 or 5 teeth coming in right now, maybe more.

This is the closest she will get to a Brighton "bag" until she saves her allowance and buys one herself - ha ha!

Hot Sweaty Weekend

OK, I know we live in Florida, but my goodness.... It was a hot, sticky weekend. I can only imagine what July and August have in store for us.

Bing, you can't escape me....

I was mopping the floors so I moved Bing's box onto the table. He's not particular about where the box is.

Ta da!!!!!

A leaf. Would you like it mommy?

We took Gabriella to a park today. We didn't stay terribly long since it was so hot and she was soaked. Thank goodness I put sunscreen on her before we left the house. But, we did swing her for a while and let her run around in the leaves. She had a blast.

No, I'm not trying to raise a mini Britney. I washed and dried this outfit one time and this is how it fits now. GRRRRRRRR. Definitely just a play outfit now.

Move over Bing. You know I won't let you lay in your box in peace.

Poked & Prodded Back to Life

OK, my blogger buddies have spoken up and demanded a Gabriella picture fix. Not much exciting going on this week, but I did snap a few over the last days....

Gabriella was carrying this strap around the house and, as you can imagine, Bing was going bonkers chasing after it. She was oblivious!

Ah, come on... Please drag it behind you some more....

This was a new dress. It wasn't long after these pictures that I found the once sewn-on bow from one of the shoulders on the floor.....

Doing her best to pretend she loves to read. Too bad the book is upside-down,huh?

OK fine, I'll just eat it then.

OK, I've got my lunchbox ready. Let's go!

Still turning over her shopping cart and climbing on.

Busy Weekend

We've had a packed weekend. Saturday Gabriella and I went to a shower for a couple that is adopting a brother and sister (3 and 5 yrs old) from Vietnam. They are part of a group that has gotten started of families in Central Florida that have or are in process of adopting internationally. Can you believe I didn't get any pics??????? Arghhhh.

Today we went to Gabriella's friend Madisyn's first birthday party about an hour away. It was at a park on a lake and was a lot of fun. It was so fun to see her again as it's been several months and she's gotten so big!!!! Bad mommies didn't get a picture of the two girls other than this next one ( ummmm, ignore my hair, it was extremely windy! ) We missed the birthday girl digging into her cake as we were at the car taking care of some stinky business.

Gabriella absolutely LOVES, LOVES, LOVES to swing. She giggles and smiles the whole time. She wasn't happy when mommy took her out.

She enjoyed the cake as you can tell. She definitely has a sweet tooth.

Hanging with daddy.

Some pictures from the rest of the weekend.

She kept turning over her shopping cart and climbing onto it.

Her party dress from Saturday.

It's Raining, It's Pouring

We've been in such a drought for so long that it's nice to finally get some rain. But, geez, do we really have to usher in the Hurricane Season on Day 1??? Yeah, day 1 of the season and already a tropical storm heading for Florida. It won't be a big deal for us, just some rain(on the weekend of course!). But, I hope and pray this isn't a sign of things to come. I can assure you my nerves will never be able to take another season like 2004 was.

On a brighter note, enjoy some pictures from the last couple of days. I didn't take any today - bad mommy!

You can't really tell in this next picture, but she was "talking" on the phone. She continually puts things up to her ear and says something. The other day, she was talking into a green bean! The funny thing is, we spend very little time on the phone, so it's amazing how they pick up this stuff. In this picture, she sees the phone on the kitchen counter and that's what prompted her to do it. I was giving her a bath the other night and the phone rang in the other room and she was very quick to put her hand up to ear and answer it - so cute!

Bing is very possessive of his box, but he lets Gabriella share it once in a while.

Hey, you have something in your eye Bing. Let me help you get it out!

Wait, wait, it's still there!

This look on his face says it all.

Oh, I think it moved to your nose.....

He's outta there!
