I Got Nothing ....

I don't have many pics to share. I am going to call the camera place and hopefully drive there this week. Without a flash, I haven't been taking pics inside....

Here are a few I took last week. I got Gabriella a sand and water table. Can I just say that she loves it?!!!!!!!!!!!! To the point of throwing a big hissy when it was time to come inside. I knew she would like it since she loves, loves, loves to pour things back and forth. Her OT said it was a great toy to help her with sensory input. It's definitely the longest she's ever concentrated on one task. Usually, even if it's something that she enjoys, she doesn't spend long before something else catches her attention and she's off. She spent a good 30-45 minutes of undivided time playing with this. I would have let her continue except it was naptime.

I do have to ask though - why did they put holes in the bottom of these pots???? I finally had to take them away because she would hold them away from the box and the sand went all over outside the box.

Two Years Ago Today .....

We saw this face for the first time....

Today is the 2nd anniversary of our referral call. I can remember it so vividly still. We had waited what at that time was an unusually long time(6 weeks) for our referral and I was really near the end of my patience waiting. I had also just quit my job and that day was the end of my first week off, so I wasn't sure what to do with myself. So, when the phone ran that afternoon and our agency's name was on the caller ID, I nearly jumped out of my skin. When the emails arrived with her pictures, I couldn't open them fast enough!

And it's also my mom's birthday, so an extra special day!

Brighten Up a Rainy Weekend

Good thing I took these pics on Friday. It's rained all weekend here. Gabriella has stood at the door or windows saying "naining, naining" over and over and over and over. Let's hope it's sunny tomorrow!! She wants to go outside and play.

FFF

No theme for FFF this week, so I am going to post few favorites from this past week. Since my flash doesnt' work on my camera, I haven't been taking that many pics and thus the lack of blog posts.

Last Sunday we went to the park.

Her new favorite place to play is inside the kitty condo. She takes purses, toys, glasses,etc in there and hangs out in it with Bing on the outside. I get such a kick out of watching these two interact. Gabriella finally knows how to say his name too. She knows Bing and Apple. Kera is a tough one for her though, so it may be a while.

Miss G here. Seems I've been tagged and tagged and tagged(by at least four of my buddies!). So, here goes.... I'm supposed to list 10 interesting things about me. Isn't it ALL about me????

1. My mommy calls me "spirited". Anybody know what that means??

2. My favorite foods are pizza ( I scream "pizza" at the commercials), nannies(bananas) and red beans(right out of the can).

3. I yell "weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee" whenever we pass by a park or swingset in the car.

4. I never tire of saying "hi" to people over and over and over and over in a store. People say it back the first couple of times and then when I keep yelling it at them, they stop. Why is that?

5. I love, love, love shoes, purses and sunglasses. Mommy said it's good to accessorize. So, I guess it's extra good to wear lots of them at once, right?

6. As much as I love shoes, I think I love taking them off in my stroller or in the shopping cart even more. I don't get why my mommy get so nuts over this.

7. I like to look right at mommy or daddy and drop food onto the floor. For some reason, they take my food away when I do this. I guess I'm slow 'cause I keep doing it.

8. I don't like bugs. I just yell "bug", "bug" and go the other way.

9. I think all birds quack.

10. I insist on a bow in my hair most days. Mommy is so happy about that. Now, she just says she needs to find some fertilizer to get my hair to grow longer!

I don't think there's anybody else out there that hasn't been tagged, so.........

FFF - The Eyes Have It

Sarah's FFF theme this week is "The Eyes Have It". Gabriella's eyes are definitely one of her most striking features(as I think all of the Guatemalan beauties can boast). She gets complimented by people every day on her eyes and her smile.

Sorry for the lighting in this one. My camera's flash died(and let me say how unhappy that makes me!! I either have to send it in to Nikon or drive over an hour to an authorized repair dealer).

I'm posting some pictures from her birthday week and last week through this week to catch up.

OK, we interrupt this post for a mild heart attack... I forgot the Space Shuttle was landing tonight and the sonic booms had me jump out of my chair. After all of these years, it scares the bejeebers out of me every single time. I especially love when it lands at like 4am. Nothing like getting your heart pumping.

The sun was apparently in Miss G's eyes and so she made some faces for these pics. She also wouldn't look at me.

















We took her outside with her basket and told her to find the eggs and put them in and she went right to work.

I have to brag a little too. I made the matching bow for her dress! Those that know me well will be proud since being crafty is not something that comes naturally to me. I've made a few now and have been pondering for a few weeks the idea of selling them, but not sure I have the time.
