Fun in the Sun

We took Gabriella to the beach for the first time today. She absolutely LOVED it. She enjoyed running around in the sand, splashing in the water and she even sat for a few minutes playing with the sand toys and in the "mud". She's going to share her mommy and daddy's love of the beach. What's the most shocking about the trip? She wore the hat the ENTIRE time!! I think there was so much to distract her that she didn't notice it as much. It helped that it tied too so that the few times she did try to get it off, it didn't come right off. We're going on a beach vacation for 5 days over Labor Day so I feel better knowing that she is going to have fun and it wasn't as frenetic as I feared since she will play in the sand which lets mommy and daddy sit for a bit.




She saw the water and took off toward it. Then she just laughed and laughed at the waves. Thankfully, it was a nice, calm day which isn't always the case on the east coast.



We had such a fantastic day. All the years I longed for a child, one of the biggest mental images I had was spending the day at the beach with them. I grew up going to this beach that we went to today, so it's a dream come true indeed.
