To Sleep, Perchance to Dream?

Sorry I haven't posted for a couple of days. It's been kind of hectic as Gabriella has definitely decided to mix things up with her naps. Most mornings, she doesn't sleep for more than 30-45 minutes now(vs. 1-1 1/2 hrs before) and afternoons are hit and miss. Never the 2 hrs it used to be and many times she is just flat out refusing to nap in the afternoon. Last night we had a repeat of the last post and she fell asleep in the high chair again since she hadn't napped in the afternoon. Fortunately, this time she had eaten almost all of her dinner first. The good news is that when she does go to bed early, she still sleeps right through until at least 7 am. In fact, the other night, she slept for about 13 hrs! She did sleep for about an hour this afternoon, so hopefully she'll stay awake through dinner and a bath tonight.

She is saying dada all the time now. The only thing that keeps me from being jealous is that it isn't in context. All day long, everything is dada.
Enjoy pics from today.

Her smile just lights up my screen. Hope her naps get a little longer, for your sake. You must not sit down at all when she's up so much during the day. I know I NEED Olivia's nap time as much as she does, or I'd get nothing done.

You might want to skip the the morning nap. My daughter did sooo well after we switched her to just one nap after lunch. Sometimes she'd sleep for 4 hours!

I've also noticed that the earlier I put her down for the night, the longer she sleeps overall. Sleep begets sleep, I guess.

And my daughter "DA-DA"d soo much I was starting to wonder if perhaps she was speaking russian!

LOL

Alleen - she is one of the most beautiful babies I have ever seen! Her face is just so precious! I hope the nap thing works itself out. John-Bryan did not start that untill he was 13 months. What I ended up having to do for both of our sanities - was to hold him off of the morning nap and then after lunch - put him down for one nap. He still gets really tired at about 5:30 - but again - we get through dinner and then he is out by 7 and sleeps untill around 8 - 9:)
Hope that helped?

Oh my! That smile is too precious! And that mouthful of teeth. Love it!
We're doing some weird things with naps too. Just when I thought we were in a nice schedule, Maya has decided to change things up a bit!

Maya won't quit with the dadada too...and there's not a daddy here!! I'm a single mom!! :>)

we thought our daughter was saying dada too early on. Even though it's hard for me to admit as a father, she was actually trying to say her name Greta :)
sometimes even at 2+ I still can't figure it out- good luck!

What perfect little teeth she has.

Napping has been out of sorts lately here, too. Last night she didn't go to sleep until 11:30pm. Waiting for her dadadadada to come home, I think.
