Someone Please Turn Down the Heat!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh my gosh, I'm melting!!! I think much of the country is, so I know my whining is probably like preaching to the choir. This week, the heat index is something like 105 and boy do I believe it.

Anyway.... on to what you came for. Here are some pics from the last few days.

I know this picture is the same one over and over, just different outfits. But, truly, this is one of Gabriella's favorite places and things to do. She just loves to get in the box with Bing. And God love him, he's so good about it.

Wearing daddy's shoe as a bracelet. A new fashion trend?

She loves to put this strap on like a scarf or sometimes a belt or a sash and other times it makes a good boa.

On Sunday, we had Farrah, Jed and Madisyn(Gabriella's Guatetot friend) over to have some burgers and go swimming. The girls had a blast in the pool. Gabriella wasn't the nicest of hostesses though. Poor Madisyn would get a toy or a purse and Gabriella would yank it away. Sigh..... When is it that they learn to share???? We mommies were too busy and forgot to take any pictures of them together!!! The only one I got was of Madisyn and her daddy.

I have no idea why Gabriella looks so sad and pouty here....

Kera was hanging out in a box and Gabriella thought she might need a toy to play with.

The sky is falling, the sky is falling.

Geez, can't a girl hang out in her box in peace???
It's a two-purse kind of day.

Kera, would you like one?

Now Bing, I told you no!
Look who took over the box.

Gabriella likes to put my shoes on the table. If I could just get her to go put them away in my closet.....
She brings your shoes to you and won't give up until you put them on.

This is her pick me up look. She is really, really into having mommy and daddy pick her up lately. This is a new thing and she is very insistent. How can you say no to this face?

I know the "pick me up look" all too well. And, I can never say no.

Love the box photos and how considerate of Gabriella to share Duplos with Kera. I am sure she was very appreciative (she will share with the cats but not another child). I don't know when sharing starts, because my 4 year olds in my class weren't very good at it either.

Gabriella's hair is getting very long. It looks pretty in the pouty picture.

Maybe we will have Madisyn at one of our kindred souls gatherings soon? She lives close to us too and I havent had a chance to get to meet them yet :) Your Gabriella has my husband gushing over those guatemalan princess's all the time now! Hope to see you guys again soon. Should have our 6 year old home in Oct!

As usually - just beautiful.

Hey - I have a question - is Bing coming to Guatoberfest? ;) Ok - so maybe a long car trip with a toddler AND a cat may just push you over the edge - but I know he's be very popular. :)

How is it our heat index is higher than yours? I can't take much more of this.

Cameron does that shoe thing too. I put on and take off my shoes at least 10 times a day.

We're having cooler weather here - in fact, the mornings are feeling way too much like fall. Secretly, I miss the heat!

It is very hard to say no to a face like that. You must be carrying her around all the time now huh?
