Fun in the Park
I hope everyone is enjoying their holiday weekend so far. We went to the park this morning and Gabriella, as always enjoyed running around.
Yesterday, I looked out the window from our dining room and this is the sight that greeted me. I took this from inside the house.
It then moved on and of course, I had to go outside to get a picture of it. Believe me, I was ready to bolt if that thing had moved!
Gabriella was having so much fun setting up all her goodies on her plate and serving them. Doesn't it look yummy?

What Gabriella Thinks of Time-Out
Gabriella was being generally ornery, fussy and whiny this morning and then hit me when I told her she couldn't have something. So, I plopped her in the corner and told her to sit there. She got hysterical and this is what she thought of it (I know mean mommy taking pictures!):
When she had been there for a couple of minutes and had calmed down, I told her she could get up and to come give me a hug and tell me she was sorry. She said "Sorry". Then, she started crying again, hugging me and and saying "I love you, I love you, I love you". awwwwwwwwwwwww.
I'm still trying to figure out the logistics of this when she refuses to a) listen and b) stay in one spot. I know the idea of a time-out is to put them there and walk away and say nothing more until it's time to get up. But, if I don't stand right there and keep telling her to stay there and sit down, she won't. And every time I tell her to sit down, she gets all hysterical again....... sigh.... Any suggestions? She really is pushing us to the limit because she absolutely won't listen to us. Like ever...... It's especially an issue when safety is an issue. If you let her down in the front of the house, she will head for the street and won't come back if you call her or tell her to stop.

Sarah's FFF theme this week is "Fun in the Sun". I decided to post a picture from our beach vacation last September.

One, Two, Three Smile!
Gabriella is so fascinated with cameras lately. If we go past the camera section of a store, she says "picture, picture"(her version of the word anyway which sounds more like picky) over and over.
So, I bought her a play camera. She carried it around all day today. She comes over and says "One, Two, Three.... Smile!" It's so stinking cute.
No, she didn't grow a tail. That's poor Bing under her.
Tell me he's not the most patient cat ever???? At one point today, I was sitting with my back to her and turned around to find she had climbed on the table to sit on him.
Little Miss Personality
This is classic Miss G. Got her cell phone, purse and sunglasses and she's ready to roll.
Hmmmm, let me check my voice mail. I get a lot of calls from my adoring fans you know.

Mother's Day
Happy Mother's Day to all the moms out there. And to any moms waiting on their child to come home, I know how difficult it is and I hope they are home very soon.
My thoughts today more than ever are on Gabriella's birthmother and how grateful I am for the loving choice she made that made me a mother.
I had a nice relaxing day today. We went to church and then came home and had lunch and some pool time.
Getting a picture with everyone looking good proved to be quite elusive.
There's a lady in church that trains puppies to be guide dogs and there's always one in church. Gabriella wasn't too sure about her as the puppy was a little excited today.
I love this picture of Gabriella and Grandma.
Take two.
Enjoying her sand table. She just loves this thing. She really doesn't use the water part of it much, but loves pouring the sand back and forth.

Take two.
Take three. As good as it gets.
All ready to go swimming. Too bad this suit was too big and didn't work out. I'm still searching for something that will give her freedom but keep her floating upright.
