Phew - Easier Than I Thought

Tonight was the first night I put Gabriella to bed without giving her a bottle. She's never really been one that used the bottle to soothe or comfort and hasn't needed a bottle in the middle of the night since we came home, but I still wondered how she would react to just going to bed without that routine. She did let me read most of a short book before she was clamoring to get off of my lap. Will she EVER enjoy just sitting in my lap?????? Sigh... I then turned down the lights, held her standing for a minute and and put her in her crib as usual and she was fine.

Enjoy some pictures from today:

I guess climbing on a book is a start!

Not sure what this face is about!

I love her wispy hair in this one.

G, I love the pic of you in your laundry basket w/ the sun shining through the window!

Miss ya - your Mom and Dad too. Just think...last week this time we were all together. I think you should pack your bags and toss your parents in the Hooptie and come up and see Maggie Mae (my cat) and me! Who knows, maybe Mark would even take us out in the boat :-) I think tubing would be your thing!

Love ya bunches!

P.S. Have a wonderful B'day party this weekend. Remember, wear something w/ pockets so that you can store some cake for later. Shhhhh don't let Mom know :-)

Oh, that's great. The Boy loved his bedtime bottle, and I loved that time with him even more. It was harder on me than it was on him for the most part.

I guess when you have a little divas like us, you tend to get all riled up and expect the worse. And that's when they decide to be good:)

You are very lucky. I don't think Savannah will give up the night bottle until she is 10. Ha Ha! She does use it as a soothing mechanism.

Savannah still will not take milk or give up the formula or the bottle. Very much a baby still.

She look so pretty and peaceful in the white dress and yes I agree with you that it is fun to take out and try the new size clothes, but sad to put others away.
