Three Kings Day

Happy Three Kings Day (or Epiphany)! Today is the 12th Day of Christmas, when the Three Wise Men visited baby Jesus and brought him gifts. Ferdy grew up in Puerto Rico and there, the Three King's Day celebrations are as big or bigger than Christmas. He always celebrated the day as a child and so we will continue that tradition with Gabriella.

The children all leave some grass (or um, weeds) under their beds for the camels to eat after their long journey. Then, the Three Kings leave a gift.

Gabriella is checking under her bed to see what the kings brought.

oooooooooooooooh.....

My very own keyboard - I love music!!!

Happy 3 Kings Day!

Wow... A key board... Are you all being brave! I made a request to my whole family before christmas... DO NOT INCLUDE BATTERIES! I will get them myself... Now we have maybe 2 toys working at a time... I switch the batts from one to another... That way EVERYTHING isn't playing at the sametime!

Hugs Ellie

I don't have your email address, I dont think. O seeks out deep pressure and is often hard to keep up with also. She did not have the motor issues either and did not qualify for OT through EI. So I am going around them once again and having her evaluated at the hospital. send me your email and I will give you the books I have that have good info. I havent read too much yet, but if I feel there is anything pertinent, I will share.

I like this tradition. Our Greek Ephinany celebration is watching 16year old boys jump in the freezing bayou in Tarpon Springs to retrieve a wooden cross that is thrown by the Greek Archbishop. Lots of crowds and traffic.

What a great way to celebrate! I love it!
We had plans to celebrate today, too, but the news from last week has us too crazy to follow through. I have a recipe for some Latin American bread that is traditional for this holiday I want to try out.

Anyway, Happy Dia De Los Reyes!

What a fun tradition. I love using the wagon to keep Sophia contained. Awesome.

I love the pic of Miss G looking under the bed and the look on her face when she sees the goods!! What a cutie! I've learned to tune out all those annoying toys. When friends come over it drives them crazy!

Al, we can start a band and live off the kids. Mark's nieces and and one nephew received guitars and drums, and my youngest niece received a guitar. Two of the children are taking piano and one of those also plays the saz. W/ G on the keyboard we are set :-)

Love the pictures.

So much fun! Can't believe I missed the holiday altogether. I will have to do better next year when Cohen will really enjoy it!
