D-Day

Friday April 28, the DNA test was done!! It was definitely bittersweet to read that email. It contained information about her birthmother's background and pictures of Gabriella and her birthmother.

When asked if she had a message for Blanca (remember that is what she named her), she replied "I am giving you to your new family - so they can give you everything that I cannot. I will not take away this opportunity. I give you my love. "

Oh my.... nothing like bringing tears running down my face!! We give her our love for this opportunity to raise a beautiful little girl and watch her become a woman.

Here is a picture of her with her foster mom getting her thumb print.

Oh Baby Girl, you will be much loved! I'm getting you a book, and the title is "Tell Me Again About the Night I was Born". I know your parents will tell you often how much you are loved - as will your Aunt Sares. The book will reinforce the love for you that your birthmother had and has when your parents tell you all about the day you became theirs.

Wow. I have goose bumps. What an amazing message from G's birth mother. I hope that she feels comforted knowing that her birth child will receive exactly what she had hoped. And I am so happy to hear that the DNA testing went off without a hitch! That beautiful little peanut is one step closer to coming home! Congrats!
